I had 2 experiences at Dr. Bate's office. Both times were root canals and they did an exceptional job. The staff and doctor are very nice. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing.

They have a neat machine where they make your permanent crown while you're getting treated; you don't have to get a temporary crown and come in for another appointment!

I would highly recommend Dr. Bates.

Im very satisfied with the service of Bates Dental. Everyone's very nice and approachable and their clinic is very clean, and they made sure they are following covid19 protocols.

Does he take Medicare? I been looking fir a quality dentist. My last one completely messed up my teeth. And left me in so much pain with alot of half broken teeth. Please help

Honest. That's all I really have to say... and probably the first of two things you need to know about a dentist. I went in for a 2nd opinion and basically pressured him to tell me I needed fillings, but he insisted it wasn't necessary - and I believe him because I know I take care of my teeth. When other dentists are out there acting like car mechanics trying to squeeze your insurance dry, Dr. Bates at least has the integrity to be honest with you and not try to milk you for unnecessary services.

I was in on time, and I was seen in less than 5 minutes. It was surprisingly fast considering there were other people there as well. It's not like most dentists and doctors who keep you waiting for 30+ minutes. This was super quick. Dr. Bates spent a very reasonable amount of time checking and double-checking my teeth, but not so much as to feel like I was there too long. He made a couple of recommendations, let me know a couple of wisdom molars might need attention in the future, and I was on my way.

It's been a LONG time since I've been to a dentist who didn't at least want to drill one tooth. In my life, the only time I wasn't getting drilled and filled was when I was in the military; which cemented my distrust for civilian dentists. The fact that I didn't feel like I was being squeezed for money felt good. I will absolutely continue to go here as long as I'm in Lakewood.

Great service. From the front desk staff, to the hygienist, to the doctor every one was friendly and efficient. My cleaning was thorough. They even helped with my reservist paperwork.

Dr Bates and his staff are on point. I would recommend this dentist over anyone in the area. I've had my dental care here for three years now. I never leave office feeling like I did not receive best care. Cleanings and dental procedures are on point and efficient every time.
