Meet me at Meconi’s
Most cities of any size have that one special place where the essence of the local spirit is captured and passed on to new generations. A place where out-of-town visitors upon returning home say “If you want to know that town, visit that place.” In Tacoma, Washington, that place is Meconi’s Tacoma Pub.
Originally known as the Bodega Bar in 1889, Meconi’s boasts a true Tacoma atmosphere — part working class grit and part unabashed optimism for the future. Oh, and the food and drinks are pretty good too! (Must be 21, no minors allowed.)
